When I first watched this video, I instantly saw the scene where everyone is at the social club dancing. Certain movements, like the high kicks, and the hip movements look like they have been taken from this video or Fosse's style, and have been adapted to suit the style of dance that Robbins was trying to portray in that specific scene. I think Robbins did a great job, and he used his inspiration to its full potential.
